Coming soon to Montenegro

Less waste. More earnings. Lower prices.

Bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants, grocery shops and market stalls sell what's left before closing. In surprise bags, for a third of the price. Whatever doesn't sell is donated.

The demo runs in your browser: nothing to install, no account needed.

What we solve

Three problems, one bag.

  • 2 to 3 bagsper place each day, saved and sold instead of binned

    Places bin paid-for stock

What's left at closing ends up in the bin, with the staff or as animal feed. None of the places we spoke to sell their surplus.

  • 73%of customers surveyed complain about high food prices

    Good food is expensive

What's left at closing never reaches customers at a lower price.

  • 125 to 150million euros of food thrown away in Montenegro each year

    Food goes to landfill

Surplus food and donation recipients are in the same city but miss each other. Rebite connects them.

How it works

From shop window to donation.

  1. A place posts bags

In the afternoon, with the value, allergens and pickup window.

  2. You reserve

Pick a bag nearby and it's yours.

  3. Pick up in your window

Come to the place during your window and the bag is waiting for you.

  4. The rest is donated

After the window a donation recipient collects the rest and confirms the weight.

App and panels

Everything Rebite does

An app for customers, places and markets, and web panels for places and donation recipients. The first version is being tested.

The app in Montenegrin: map with prices of bags nearby

For customers

Bags nearby, tonight.

  • Tonight and Map

Bags by pickup time and on the map, with filters for Lenten, vegetarian and halal.

  • The bag is yours

Once you reserve, nobody can take it before you. The pickup ticket works offline too.

  • Send to someone

Send a bag by link. No app is needed to pick it up.

  • Favourite places

We let you know when a place you follow posts new bags.

  • Reminders and directions

A reminder before the window, a calendar entry and directions in one tap.

  • Your tally

Kilograms, euros saved and CO2e, in total and this month.

For places

Schedules do the work.

  • Templates and schedule

Set up your bags and weekly schedule once. Bags post themselves, and we ask ahead about holidays.

  • Today on one screen

Quantity, pause, cancellation with a reason and posting outside the schedule.

  • Pickup confirmation

Staff confirm the pickup with a QR code, even without internet.

  • Staff and roles

The owner invites staff, and staff see only what they need for the shift.

  • Stats and statements

Bags, kilograms, ratings and followers. The statement arrives on the first of the month, as PDF and CSV.

  • Ratings and replies

Ratings come without the customer's name, and you reply to problem reports from the panel.

  • QR stand

Customers scan it in your place and follow you in the app.

For markets

Stalls, one account.

The market coordinator posts bags for every stall: stall, number of bags, end time. At closing, one donation run goes out for the whole market.

For donation recipients

Donations, confirmed.

Soup kitchens and food banks see what's left, accept with an arrival time and confirm the weight.

Questions

What's in the bag?

Whatever the place has left that day. That's the surprise. You always know the type (bakery mix, sweets, a meal), the allergens and the bag's minimum value.

When is Rebite coming to my city?

We start with a few places on a trial run, then go city by city.

What if I can't make it?

Cancel for free up to 60 min before the window. You can also send the bag to someone by link; no app is needed to pick it up.

How does a place become a partner?

Send an application on the For places page. A coordinator calls you and sets everything up with you on site.
