What has been saved
We only count bags a place confirmed as picked up and donations whose weight the recipient confirmed. Cancelled and uncollected bags are left out.
There isn't enough data for this city yet. We publish figures once at least 3 places are included.
How we count
- Kilograms
- Each place enters an estimated weight for its bag. We count it only once the pickup is confirmed.
- CO2e
- Each kilogram of food saved counts as 2.7 kg less CO2e. Cautious estimate: 1.33 kg. Source: Blonk Consultants for Too Good To Go, 2024.
- Meal
- One bag picked up counts as 1 meal.
- Donations
- Only the weight the recipient confirmed at collection.
- Not counted
- Cancelled and uncollected bags, unconfirmed donations and any estimate of money saved by places.
- Small numbers
- We publish a figure once it covers at least 3 places. Months and cities with fewer places aren't shown separately.
